National Grid is continuing their work to restore power following the wind and rain storm yesterday. They have restored over 3,000 customers as of today. All main roads should be open this evening. There is still a lot of work to do, though. National Grid will have crews working in Easton overnight tonight and through tomorrow. National Grid has many outside crews in place now helping to get the restoration complete as fast as possible.

As of 5 PM on December 19, there are still residents without power, and the weather forecast has tonight's temperatures dropping into the upper 20's. Please be sure to check on vulnerable neighbors.

RESIDENTS IN NEED OF SHELTER
Any residents who are in need of shelter from the power outages are asked to call the Easton Police Department at 508-230-3322 and press 0 to speak with an officer.

Easton will provide shelter and the Town's first responders will assist residents who may need help getting to a shelter from their homes.

POWER RESTORATION & ELECTRICAL INSPECTION
If your service line was ripped off of your home, there is a part of that line that homeowners are responsible to have repaired so National Grid can hook their wires up to it. If you are unsure about the status of your service line, please consult an electrician.

If you are told you need a Town inspection to restore power following a repair, call Easton Police at 508-230-3322 and press 0 to be put in contact with the electrical inspector during non-business hours.
