Department of Public Works Accepting Applications for Snow Plow Contractors for Winter 2017/18
The Town of Easton Department of Public Works is accepting applications for snow plowing contractors for the 2017 - 2018 winter season. Free Easton Community
Easton Community Calendars covering September 2017 through August 2018 are now available at the Town Offices, Ames Free Library, Easton Historical Society, Frothingham Memorial Hall, and all Easton branches of North Easton Savings Bank. Town information, school events, and civic organization happenings are included. The FREE calendars are provided by North Easton Savings Bank, for the residents of Easton.
The Public Health Nurse will be available for Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screening for Easton Residents (on a walk in basis, no appointment needed) according to the following schedule:
* Elise Circle Community Room - Tuesday, October 21 (9:30AM-10:30AM)
* Town Hall (136 Elm St., Mary Connolly Room, 2nd Floor) - Monday, October 23 (3PM-4PM)

October 24: American Legion Post 7 Meeting
The American Legion Post 7 Easton, MA invites any interested Veterans to their next meeting on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 7PM. There will an Installation of the 2017-2018 Officers at the meeting. The meeting is located at the VFW Hall on the corner of Rockland Street and Allen Road, Easton at 7PM and normally runs until 8PM.
October 26: Massachusetts Department of Transportation -Update to ADA Transition Plan

October 22: Easton Softball Fall Finale Fundraiser
Sunday, October 22nd from 1-6PM located at the Queset House, 51 Main Street, Easton. The Easton Softball Fall Finale Fundraiser benefiting Easton Girls Softball and Oliver Ames Softball. October 22: Brockton Symphony Orchestra - Celestial Masterworks
Saturday, October 21st from 6:30PM - 9:00PM. Easton Middle School (EMS) is hosting Haunted Hallways, a community based fundraiser in time for the Halloween season. The first of its kind at the middle school, this fun event is being planned by the Easton Middle School Parent Advisory Council (PAC) in collaboration with the teachers and students of the school. There will be fun and frights for all ages. Food as long as it lasts, games, music, and a special raffle. In lieu of a purchasing a raffle ticket, bring a new school supply to support School on Wheels of Massachusetts (SOWMA). Entry fee is $2 per person, $10 per family. EMS is located at 98 Columbus Ave in North Easton; doors open at 6:30PM. Last entry will be at 8:45 pm.
October 22: Brockton Symphony Orchestra - Celestial Masterworks
Sunday, October 22nd at 3PM the Brockton Symphony Orchestra, James M. Orent, Music Director presents Celestial Masterworks located at the Christ Congregational Church, 1350 Pleasant Street, Brockton, MA. Featuring Kristina Nilsson on violin. October 28: Drug Take-Back Day
Easton Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your prescription medications for disposal to the Easton Police Station. Over-the counter and pet medications will also be accepted. Sharps (needles, syringes) will be accepted but must be contained in a hard plastic container. Thermometers, IV bags, medical devices and personal care products will NOT be accepted. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. Drug Take-Back day is brought to you by the Easton Police, the Easton Board of Health and Easton Wings of Hope.

November 4: Easton Food Pantry - Race Against Hunger
Immaculate Conception Church is proud to sponsor the "2nd Annual Easton Food Pantry-Race Against Hunger". A 5K/3.1 Mile Run/Walk to be held on Saturday, November 4th at Borderland State Park, 259 Massapoag Avenue, N. Easton, MA. Registration begins at 8:30AM, Race Start time is 10AM. November 6: The Cotton Swab Challenge
The Cotton Swab Challenge was started by the Family of an individual who was diagnosed with Leukemia. It was discovered a bone marrow transplant is the next step in the plan to become cancer free. Be The Match will be at Stonehill College on Monday November 6th to assist people between the ages 18-44 in registering to be bone marrow donors. We want to Challenge people/ colleges/cities to register, so we can live in a world where no one has to wait for a perfect match. Hence the name, Cotton Swab Challenge! When you register online or at an event like this one, you will swab your cheek and fill out some basic medical information. It is FREE and simple. November 17: 10th Annual FEEE Volleyball Tournament
Save the date! The 10th Annual FEEE Volleyball Tournament will take place on Friday, November 17, 2017. You've watched your kids from the sidelines. Now it is time for you to play with a team of your own all while raising money for our schools. We're looking for volleyball enthusiasts - no experience is necessary. Join us for loads of family fun and make sure your kids are in the stands to cheer for you! Ready to form a team? You'll need eight to ten players. Matches will be played with six players on the court, two of whom must be women. Anyone high school age or older can play. The donation for to participate is $250 for teams made up of all adults or mixed between adults and students, and $200 for teams made up entirely of students. This fee covers the cost of eight shirts. Teams over eight players will be charged an additional $10 per shirt. All proceeds will be donated to the Easton schools and their technology needs.
