ONLINE Dog Licensing Now Available
2018 Dog licenses are now available ONLINE<https://unipaygold.unibank.com/transactionInfo.aspx?CustomerID=657&TransID=22092>. To license online, search by Dog ID# (can be found on a previous years license) or enter your last name, street name and/or dog name. Residents will only be able to use the online dog licensing service if the rabies certificate that is on file in the Town Clerks Office is current at the time of licensing. To update your rabies on file please email<mailto:townclerksoffice at easton.ma.us> a copy to townclerksoffice at easton.ma.us<mailto:townclerksoffice at easton.ma.us> and allow time for internal processing before attempting to license online. Please note that the bank charges .25 to pay by electronic check and a $1.00 postage & handling fee will be charged for each online license issued. Dog licenses and tags will be mailed directly to you. You may also license your dog in person at the Town Clerks Office beginning December 15th.

Department of Public Works Accepting Applications for Snow Plow Contractors for Winter 2017/18
The Town of Easton Department of Public Works is accepting applications for snow plowing contractors for the 2017 - 2018 winter season. Applications can be picked up at the Department of Public Works, 130 Center Street between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. www.easton.ma.us/DPW<http://www.easton.ma.us/departments/dpw/index.php>  or call DPW 508-230-0800.
Free Easton Community
Easton Community Calendars covering September 2017 through August 2018 are now available at the Town Offices, Ames Free Library, Easton Historical Society, Frothingham Memorial Hall, and all Easton branches of North Easton Savings Bank. Town information, school events, and civic organization happenings are included. The FREE calendars are provided by North Easton Savings Bank, for the residents of Easton.
The Public Health Nurse will be available for Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screening for Easton Residents (on a walk in basis, no appointment needed) according to the following schedule:

*        Elise Circle Community Room - Tuesday, December 19 (9:30AM-10:30AM)

*        Town Hall (136 Elm St., Mary Connolly Room, 2nd Floor) - Monday, December 18 (3PM-4PM)

Week of December 11:  Bulky Item Pick-up
The week of December 11, 2017 will be the next "FREE BULK ITEM" pickup week for Waste Management customers. If you are in our Waste Management program, you can put one (1) large item curbside on your regular trash day to be picked up at no charge to you. No need to call the office, just have your item out at 7:00 a.m. You can find the list of acceptable items on the Town's website. Any questions call the DPW @ 508-230-0800.
December 14:  Town of Easton Marijuana Policy Advisory Committee to Host Public Listening Session
The Town of Easton will hold a public listening session regarding the Town's ongoing marijuana policy planning process on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 6:30 pm at Frothingham Hall, 15 Barrows Street. The session invites residents to meet the Town's Marijuana Policy Advisory Committee, learn about the existing law as it pertains to the sale and cultivation of marijuana, and learn about policy options for the Town to consider prior to the June 30, 2018 expiration of a moratorium on recreational marijuana sales and cultivation in Easton. December 10:  Special Easton Historical Society Program
Two Easton-related writers and a painter will present their works Sunday, December 10th at 12PM located at the Easton Historical Society. Alyson Sousa Larrabee will be focusing on her 2017 prize-winning Kindle Scout International Publishing Competition book "Hidden in the Dark". Linda Manning Williams will share with the audience her new children's book "Fifty Stories and Poems for Children". Eveline Sawabini Johnson, artist of the scenes on Easton's Puzzles, will have a number of her recent paintings available. December 14:  TED Talk Thursdays
Thursday, December 14th from 2PM-3:30PM. Expand your horizons with TED Talk Thursdays. TED Talks are recorded presentations that last 20 minutes or less on wide variety of topics including science and technology to culture and arts. During each TED Talk Thursday, we will watch three TED Talks on a common theme and discuss. Located at Queset House, 2nd Floor conference room.
Now through December 15:  Photography Competition & Preservation Awards
The Easton Historical Commission is accepting photographs through December 15, 2017 for the 18th Annual Photography Competition, Sunday January 14, 2018 from 3PM-5PM at Oakes Ames Memorial Hall. Recipients of the Chaffin Award (for an individual making a significant contribution to historic preservation in Easton), the Briggs Award (for a building or landscape project significant to Easton's historical integrity) and the Boston Post Cane (for Easton's oldest resident) will be announced at the event. Photographs should be taken in Easton and should be on the themes of historic places, historic landscapes, people, or pets. Come welcome back the farmers, baker, and other local vendors to the Winter Farmer's market in the historic Oakes Ames Memorial Hall, 3 Barrows Street, North Easton Village. The Winter Market will be open every Saturday through the end of May for your fresh harvest and locally produced goodies.

The Bell Choir now in its 26th year led by Director E. December 16: Oakes Ames Hall Open House & Tours at the Original Easton Farmer's Market
Have you been wondering about the hall, where the Easton Farmer's Market is located during the Winter Season?  If you are interested in learning more about this historic HH Richardson Building or you are curious to see all of the interior, join a special open house during market hours on Saturday, December 16th from 10AM-2PM. The Hall is located at 3 Barrows Street in North Easton. All our farmers, bakers and other local vendors will have their fresh harvest and locally produced goodies.
